[Shabait] Asmara, 14 November 2024 - Mr. Petros Tsegay, Eritrea's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, represented Eritrea at the first Russia-Africa Conference held in Sochi, Russia, on 8 and 9 November.

[The Edelstam Foundation] The Edelstam Prize 2024 is awarded to Mr. Dawit Isaak for his outstanding contributions and exceptional courage in standing up for freedom of expression, one's beliefs, and in the defence of Human Rights. The prize will be awarded during a ceremony at the House of Nobility in Stockholm, Sweden, on 19th November 2024. As Dawit Isaak is a prisoner of conscience and the longest-held detained journalist in the world, he cannot be present. His daughter, Betlehem Isaak, will receive the prize on his behalf.

[Shabait] Forty-five diplomatic officers from Eritrea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Information recently completed a training program sponsored by China's Ministry of Commerce and hosted by Hunan International Vocational College. The program covered international relations, China-Africa relations, and China's foreign policy, blending online and on-site learning.

[African Arguments] Debating Ideas reflects the values and editorial ethos of the African Arguments book series, publishing engaged, often radical, scholarship, original and activist writing from within the African continent and beyond. It offers debates and engagements, contexts and controversies, and reviews and responses flowing from the African Arguments books. It is edited and managed by the International African Institute, hosted at SOAS University of London, the owners of the book series of the same name.
